The German Wirtschaftswoche has honored Prof. Dr. Hannes Rothe as one of the strongest management researchers under 40 years.

Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Hannes Rothe! The German business magazine Wirtschaftswoche has named him one of the best researching economists under the age of 40. The exclusive ranking was compiled by the Swiss Institute for Business Cycle Research (KOF) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and includes the research performance of more than 800 scientists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Hannes Rothe has been Professor of Information Systems and Sustainable Supply Chain Management at the University of Duisburg-Essen since 2023 and heads the Place Beyond Bytes. His research focuses on sustainability and innovation in digital ecosystems.

Next to Hannes Rothe, our colleague Prof. Dr. Ralf Plattfaut  has also been named “Young Star of BWL”. We congratulate him and are proud of the great success of the Rhine-Ruhr Institute of Information Systems!
