Joining Key German Industry Conferences on AI in Biotech and the European Health Data Spaces

we are pleased to announce our participation in two highly relevant panel discussions focused on the future of biotech and digital health.

By joining German Biotech Days in Heidelberg and DMEA in Berlin, we highlight our deep commitment to exploring the potential of sustainable futures in health through digital innovation. At this pivotal moment in Europe, a keen understanding on digital ecosystems is vital; no matter if we look towards platform ecosystems with AI like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Meta's Llama or platform ecosystems on data like European Health Data Spaces.

Panel 1: AI in Biotech: Great Hope or Great Hype?

Professor Dr. Hannes Rothe will moderate a session at the German Biotech Days in Heidelberg on April 9, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 5:40 PM (CET). The panel will address the role of AI in biotechnology, discussing whether it represents a genuine revolution or is simply overhyped. This panel aligns with our research on the intersection of digital innovation and entrepreneurship, and the exploration of data and knowledge as drivers of change.

The discussion will feature insights from innovators and entrepreneurs, including Christiane Bardroff (Rentschler Biopharma), Stephan Brock (Molecular Health), Søren Gersting (iniuva), and Ralf Huss (BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH).

Panel 2: Unlocking the Potential of the European Health Data Space (EHDS)

Professor Rothe will also represent the EHDS4all consortium at a panel during DMEA 2025 in Berlin on April 10, 2025, from 1:25 PM to 2:25 PM (CET). This session will delve into the opportunities and challenges presented by the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation.

The panel will explore how stakeholders, including startups, SMEs, and healthcare giants, can leverage EHDS to revolutionize patient care and research.

Speakers will include representatives from pharma, medtech, digital health, insurers, and the Ministry of Health: Ira Miessler, LL.M. (Bundesministerium für Gesundheit), Michael Dörries (AOK-Bundesverband), Inger Koltermann (AOK Mein Leben), Delia Strunz (Johnson & Johnson Medical), Andreas Bachmeier (ZEISS Group Digital Innovation), Dr. Malte Haring (inav - privates Institut für angewandte Versorgungsforschung GmbH), Christian Hälker (PKV Verband der Privaten Krankenversicherung e.V.), and Sebastian Claudius Semler (TMF e. V.).

These panel discussions are highly relevant to our focus on the socio-economic aspects of digital ecosystems and its commitment to guiding individuals and organizations in navigating “x futures.”
