Celebrating Success at ICIS 2024!
We are thrilled to share the incredible achievements of our PhD students, Jonathan Zebhauser and Mahnoor Shahid, at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2024 in Bangkok!
Jonathan and Mahnoor presented our joint research, "Uncovering Inverse Generativity: An Exploratory Prompt Analysis in LLM Platforms," where we asked ourselves whether the potentials of "generative" technologies are actually being realized. This work aligns with our team's broader research interests in the generative properties of data and AI technology, specifically how users interact with and shape capabilities of LLMs.
But wait, there's more! Mahnoor also participated in the highly competitive ICIS Paper-a-thon, judged by outstanding scholars likeElena Karahanna,Lauri WesselandAndrew Burton-Jones, and emerged victorious!
HerHashtag#winningteam includedMaduka Subasinghage, PhDandShachar Reichmanwith whom she tackled the critical issue of "Detecting Bot-Based Abuse on Open-Source Platforms."Hashtag#kudos
They were mentored by the amazingAtreyi Kankanhalli.
Jonathan and Mahnoor, the entire team is super proud of your work! Congratulations on these well-deserved accomplishments!
We remain fascinated by the emergent properties of "generativity" and love to see more research helping us understand generative properties, along with those of cutting-edge technologies like LLMs, neuro symbolic AI, or more "traditional" human communities like GitHub developer groups
