The Digital Innovation

This cluster focuses on the technological artifacts, data structures, and architectures underpinning the digital economy. Specifically, we study how digital technologies—such as Artificial Intelligence, digital platforms, and data—are managed for innovation.

We investigate the generativity of platforms, the design of smart service systems, and how large language models (LLMs) and neuro-symbolic reasoning transform knowledge work and data organizing. Our goal is to provide actionable design knowledge and empirical insights for building sustainable, scalable digital infrastructures. We welcome ambitious students seeking challenging thesis topics in AI management, as well as academic partners striving for rigorous advancements in Information Systems Research.
